Kateri now teaches in the DC/Baltimore area.
Kateri's modern flute teachers and coaches have included Bonnie Lake, Michelle Caimotto, Janet Katchum, Patricia Farrell, Alberto Almarza, Ethan Stang, Louise Carslake, and Joseph Bloom. Kateri is primarily self-taught on renaissance flute (using techniques learned from her other woden flute specialties, and extrapolating from early musical treatises), but she has worked with Nancy Haden and Michael Lynn. Her recorder teachers and coaches have included Gwen Roberts, Mark Cudek, and Louise Carslake.
